| posted 01/27/2012 Over the past 10 years I have been fortunate enough to be involved with the Hooksett Youth Athletic Association (HYAA). My kids have grown up and literally played in each and every sport that has been offered to them. During my first years I saw the incredible dedication of the volunteers and offered to help by working the concession stands and coaching. Once I became more involved with the community I looked for a way to have a greater positive impact overall and took my first official role as the Sports Commissioner of HYAA Football and Cheer, the Hooksett Hurricanes. This was a fantastic experience and I made a great number of friends by working hand in hand with everyone throughout the program. After spending time with two of my mentors, Dave Dickson and Bill Gahara I took on the next official role as Chairman of HYAA, overseeing the portfolio of sports. For the last several years we have been working diligently to bring all of our sports forward by tying together our web sites, budgets and mission. The current Board of Directors have been great to work with for the betterment of the long term objectives for our kids in the community. This organization is completely volunteer and I would ask for everyone that attends any of our sporting events to watch their child or family member to say thank you. This March 2012 we will be holding the next Annual Elections to include my current position as the Chairman. Please consider joining the board and help us continue HYAA's path of growth and prosperity. Thank you to everyone that has supported me and helped HYAA over the years.

To all of the HYAA families. The Board of Directors have been hard at work over the past few years tying the programs more closely through communication and cooperation. This website is just one piece of the community effort, along with a consolidation of vendors being done for apparel and a budget committee to look across the entire program for spending efficiencies. I am proud to announce that we have designed and selected a new logo (seen above) and look for the program as well, that will tie us more closely with the Cawley Middle School where 90% of the kids in our program will attend. Thank you to all of our active Board members and the hard work they do each and every day.
